The Plantation Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit offers a valuable Free Security Survey for citizens of Plantation as well as Business owners. Officers of the Plantation Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit have been trained and certified as Crime Prevention Practitioners by the Florida Attorney General’s Office. This training allows Officers of the Crime Prevention Unit the knowledge and expertise to conduct thorough residential and business Security Surveys that will provide you with a comprehensive security plan.

The Primary goal of a Security Survey is not only to reduce the opportunity for crime but also to create a “TARGET HARDENED” environment. Through the use of lighting, adequate locks and support strike plates, sliding glass door bars, window security, alarms, access control systems, landscape options, and effective crime prevention tactics and procedures, residents and business owners can create an environment that will protect their property before they are victimized.

The home or property owner receives a comprehensive report that outlines security recommendations and provides crime prevention tactics that will enhance the security of their property.
