Our police department is staffed by 344 employees, with 192 serving as sworn police officers, and has an annual operating budget of approximately 25 million dollars. We proudly hold dual accreditations; nationally through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc., and by the Florida Commission for Law Enforcement Accreditation on the state level.

Located in the heart of Broward County, we serve 82,500 residents and continuously strive to provide professional, community oriented law enforcement services. We are very proud of our commitment to the community and the partnerships we have formed along the way, realizing that safety and quality of life are both personal and shared responsibilities.
