Plantation Fire Department

PUBLIC EDUCATION PROGRAMS

Public Education and Public Awareness are among the many services we provide to the residents of Plantation. The Fire Department offers a wide variety of public education programs.

Fire Safety for Kids
This program, taught by our own "Firefighter Tony," teaches kids about fire prevention and fire awareness. Concepts such as "Stop, Drop and Roll," Escape Death in the Home (EDITH) and how to dial 9-1-1 are all covered in a fun and entertaining way.

Fire Safety for Schools
Firefighter Tony is also available for school programs to introduce the same concepts in a classroom setting.

Fire Extinguisher Awareness
Having a fire extinguisher on the wall of your office is a good thing, but do you know how to use it? Is it the right type? Do you know what it's there for? The Fire Education staff of the Plantation Fire Department will help provide the answers to these and other important questions about fire extinguishers. Our Fire Extinguisher program is an interactive, hands-on program that's fun, exciting and informative.
