Established
in 1999, the Crisis Response Team includes ten Officers from
different entities within the Police Department. The prime
function of this team is to respond to all crimes/situations
where there are hostages involved or situations involving barricaded
subjects, with the ultimate goal of peacefully ending these situations
through assertive negotiation tactics. This unit trains
on a monthly basis, honing their skills to be used in real world
critical incidents.
