Welcome to the official website of the Plantation Fire Department.

The Plantation Fire Department has been serving the citizens of Plantation since its inception in 1957 when a group of 17 civic minded citizens conceived a volunteer fire department to serve the newly born community.

Today the Plantation Fire Department is the largest volunteer fire department in Florida.  It is a multi-faceted community service agency providing a variety of services including fire suppression, emergency medical services, fire prevention, public education, and emergency management.

It is the mission of the Plantation Fire Department
to provide the highest level of life and property safety
through the extension of
Fire Prevention, Fire Suppression,
Medical Rescue and Public Education Services,consistent with the prudent utilization of public funds.
